Since the terror attacks on the USA began and the subsequent military action in Afghanistan and Iraq, John is once again in the national press and on television as a consultant and commentator for Panorama, BBC news, ITN, and GMTV. John talks with sensitive honesty about the reality of life on the front line as the 'ordinary guy who has just happened to find himself in extraordinary circumstances'.
