Ahir Shah

Ahir Shah has written and directed the Cambridge Footlights’ Spring Revue, taken a show to Edinburgh at the tender age of 17, was on the writing team for Skins and most recently appeared as himself in Channel 4‘s Campus.
One of the fastest rising young performers in the UK today this stand up comedian has a host of regular circuit gigs and headline slots as well as an Edinburgh Fringe show under his belt. Add to that his membership of the National Youth Theatre, his musical talents, his accomplished satirical artwork and his award-winning debating credentials and Ahir Shah is a formidable comedy force!
He enjoys standing in front of rooms full of strangers and telling jokes about politics and other things that he likes. Most of the time people laugh, which is nice. Sometimes they don't, which he reckons is alright because if everyone agreed with everyone all the time we would have no need for politicians, and therefore a significant portion of Ahir’s humour would be rendered obsolete.
What he's trying to say is, you should book him to stand in front of a room full of strangers and tell jokes about politics and other things that he likes. After all, most of the time, people laugh.
“Destined to be one of the brightest stars in the British Comedy firmament…a frighteningly intelligent gagsmith.” The Scotsman
