Michael Grade
In 2006 Michael Grade became Executive Chairman of ITV, controversially leaving his post as Chairman of the Board of Governors at the BBC.Michael Grade comes from a family steeped in entertainment.
Grade's previous roles include a long stint at LWT including as director of programmes; controller of BBC1; and Chief Executive of Channel 4 for nine years until 1997.
During his tenure at Channel 4, Michael Grade was nicknamed Britain's 'pornographer in chief' by Paul Johnson in the Daily Mail.
Michael Grade played himself in an episode of Jonathan Creek.
