Bob Wilson Footballer - Born in Chesterfield 1942.Signed for Arsenal in 1963 and made more than 300 first team appearances.
Career in sports journalism started with the BBC. He presented Football Focus for 20 years and was also a regular on Grandstand, Sportsnight and Breakfast sport before being lured to ITV in 1994 to be the channel's main presenter.
Bob ran his own goalkeeping school for youngsters for 13 year. David Seaman was one of those to benefit from the Wilson system.
Services to football which have included writing several books on the subject have brought him academic honours including honorary doctorates from the universities of Derby and Middlesex. Now lives in Herefordshire with wife Meg, and runs the Willow Foundation, a Charity set up in the memory of his daughter who died of cancer at the age of 32.
