Jamie 'Afro' Archer
James "Jamie" Archer (also known as Jamie Afro due to his highly memorable hairstyle) is a musician from Putney, London, England.
He leapt to fame on the ‘X Factor’ - the oldest of the 12 finalists in the sixth series.
He sang ‘Sex on Fire’ by the Kings of Leon in his first audition. He was voted out in week 6 but has since gone on to really establish himself as a solo artist.
Jamie has had considerable experience on the London gig circuit, and plays a number of instruments, mainly the guitar as well as being a solo performer. As well as being a singer/songwriter in how own right he is also lead singer of rock/dance band Jalexis 11, which he started with his brother.
