Benji  is an award-winning comedian and NHS doctor specialising in psychiatry. His material provides a fly-on-the-padded-wall account of the mental health world and debunks some myths along the way. He regularly hosts at the Moth Club and his debut book, You Don't Have to Be Mad to Work Here  released last year, with quotes from Jo Brand and Fern Brady. The television rights are being developed by House Productions, and he took show of the same name to Edinburgh this past Fringe which he has toured nationally over the last year. He has written for the Guardian and Independent, and was included in a list of 'Inspiring Psychiatrists’ by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. 

With his unique combination of skills/expertise that means he can present/host the more entertainment style events, but also the serious and more sincere keynote gigs – and he already has experience of both! The Times has dubbed him ‘The Adam Kay of mental healthcare’.  

His book You Don’t Have to Be Mad to Work Here unlocked the door to the psych ward and was an instant Sunday Times best-seller. It was also a Times Book of the Week, Guardian Book of the Day and one of the i paper’s “funniest books of 2024.”

He will be embarking on his first national comedy tour in May 25
