In 2024, Chris co-won a prestigious Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the innovative Microbiome Garden. With extensive horticultural knowledge and vast practical landscaping experience, Chris is uniquely placed to show audiences the power of a thoughtfully curated garden and how to transform any green space into a true sanctuary.

Owner of landscaping company Greenbook Landscape Design. Chris has over 16 years’ experience working on high end residential, public realm and community-based projects across both the UK and abroad. A background in Ecology and Conservation, Chris is passionate about creating outdoor spaces that are not only visually stunning but deeply rooted in sustainability and environmental impact.

On Garden Rescue, Chris transforms gardens for deserving families across the UK, combining his warm on-screen presence with hands-on landscaping expertise. He thrives on variety drawing from extensive horticultural knowledge and creative flair to craft gardens that are as functional as they are beautiful. He specialises in sustainable design using locally sourced materials and eco-conscious techniques to ensure every garden supports biodiversity and the planet. A master of making the most of limited space, Chris is particularly skilled in small-space garden design, as showcased in the BBC’s One Shows Pocket Gardens series.

Alongside an enduring passion for environment and wildlife, with first-hand experience of complex mental health within his family, Chris feels strongly about what can be done to better the lives of those affected by mental health illness. In fact, much of Chris’ creativity stems from his belief that the immersive quality of gardens and wild spaces have a phenomenally positive effect on mental wellbeing, and as such, Chris holds the belief that people should be at the heart of each garden project. 
Immensely knowledgeable and hugely engaging, Chris delights in being able to impart what he is so passionate about. 

Chris’ talk, Gardening on the Wild Side, teaches audiences the key principles of garden design, from structuring your space to planning your garden design with purpose. Through storytelling and practical insights, Chris’ talks offer a fresh perspective on how landscapes can transform lives.
