When Lucy was 17 years old, she lost her eyesight and she had to learn to navigate life again.

Taking it in her stride, she took to YouTube to document her personal experiences of going blind.

Her most watched video entitled Blind girl does her own makeup was viewed over 750k times which boosted her platform, and she now has over 38k subscribers to her channel. Carrying on her success with social media, Lucy has become a main influencer on the popular video app, TikTok in which she has amassed 1.1m followers, she was recently named in the TikTok 100!

Whilst elevating her social platform, Lucy became the first blind presenter to host a show on BBC Radio 1, her other presenting roles include In Touch (BBC Radio 4), Click (BBC World News) and The Travel Show (BBC World News). She has presented for BBC Bitesize and BBC Ideas and works as a freelance producer for the BBC.

Continuing the theme of firsts, Lucy became the first blind ambassador for makeup brand CoverGirl, written for the Sunday times and published Blind Beauty Guide book, designed to help others with vision issues to gain confidence in cosmetics.  

Lucy works with many charities within the sight loss sector, including Guide Dogs UK, Vision Foundation, the RNIB, Fixers UK and Living Paintings.

Lucy passionately promotes disability issues, and speaks regularly on the subject of life after sight loss.
