A household name for over 30 years, Michaela is one of Britain’s most beloved broadcasters. Recently she made headlines as the oldest contestant ever to reach the  final of Dancing on Ice.  At nearly 60, Michaela skated her way into the hearts of millions, proudly stating she “did it for the older women,” proving once again that age is no barrier to challenge and personal growth.
 
A magnetic presence with a natural effervescence, she combines an extensive career with a gift for communication that resonates with a broad range of audiences and has become a sought after speaker. 
  
With a career spanning nearly four decades, Michaela has appeared across a wide range of television shows, from children’s morning programming and pop culture to , wildlife documentaries.

Collecting multiple BAFTA awards along the way. A true trailblazer, she has consistently broken new ground, embraced change, and challenged  convention. All of this she has achieved while also navigating the demands and joys of being a dedicated mother and parent. Michaela has never seen her gender as a limitation and has never shied away from opportunity. Her speaking leaves audiences uplifted, motivated, and ready to face their own challenges head-on. 


For the past 12 years, Michaela has co-presented the hugely popular BBC ‘Watches’series: Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch. One of the Britains most popular  shows, the series will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. Earlier this year, she also presented with Steve Backshall, Ice Age, a three-part documentary for Channel 5. 
  
From her 1986 debut on the children’s breakfast show The Wide-Awake Club to co-hosting the cult late-night TV show The Hitman and Her alongside Pete Waterman  in 1988, Michaela´s career has flourished,her warm humour and natural charisma quickly cementing her popularity with audiences. She went on to spend 15 years presenting the BBC’s The Really Wild Show and a decade on Countryfile becoming a household name and a trusted voice in wildlife and rural programming. Her work has also extended across a range of broadcasters, including National Geographic, Animal Planet, and ITV, among others.

Alongside her broadcast career Michaela is an ambassador passionately supporting a number of wildlife charities, including the Animals Asia Foundation and the Borneo  Orangutan Survival Foundation and as well Breast Cancer Now following her own diagnosis in 2014 . Over a decade later, she has come to embrace her scars and her  journey is proof that, even in the face of adversity, we can rise, rebuild, and thrive.
