Tracy Borman OBE is a best-selling author, British historian, and broadcaster. Earning her PhD in History in 1997, she has had a successful career in heritage, working for the Heritage Lottery Fund, The National Archives, and English Heritage. She is now the Chief Executive of the Heritage Education Trust and Chief Historian for Historic Royal Palaces, the charity that manages historical landmarks such as the Tower of London and Kew Palace. Today, she is a Professor and Chancellor of Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln and in 2024, she was awarded an OBE for her services to heritage.

Tracy has regularly appeared on television and radio as both a presenter and panel member. Her TV credits include Inside the Tower of London, Britain’s Easter Story, University Challenge and Henry VIII and the Men Who Made Him. In addition, she also gives public talks and lectures on a wide range of subjects. One of the series she presented, Private Lives of the Tudors, was based on her book of the same name. She has done two nation-wide theatre tours – in 2023, How To Be A Good Monarch, and in 2026, Tudors on Tour.

Tracy is the bestselling author of a number of books including a highly acclaimed biography of Thomas Cromwell and a sequence of novels set in Jacobean England.
